{} —-  ❝Oh, thanks!❞ Hinata wasn’t sure if that was a compliment, but if was coming from Saionji and it didn’t sound blatantly insulting, Hinata was fully prepared to accept it, even if he wasn’t sure if he agreed with it.

Dancing with Saionji wasn’t on Hinata’s bucket list, but he’d entertained the thought before. He wondered what it would be like to move so gracefully; to do something that requires talent with someone who is talented enough to do it. Saionji had always presented as a solo act, so her reaction was not remotely a surprise.

❝I understand why you’d feel that way.❞ There was no way Hinata’s skill at traditional dancing (or dancing in general) could match Saionji’s, but he didn’t think he was terrible at it. ❝But please consider it. It could be fun, actually?❞

❝ you’re like a tree, hinata-niichan. you’re tall, and stiff. how do you feel about that ? — ❞

was she to consider his words ? perhaps. thoughts dwelling in her mind – he was so much taller than her, was she to step on his feet ? – yet her expression remained bitter, and ultimately snide. one hand rested at her jaw, eyes cast judgementally upon him.

❝ do i dance with trees ? well, most of the time, no. howeeeeeeever, i might be willing to change my mind if you get me something… like c a n d y ! — ❞
